Tuesday, September 17th in Quesnel was a mixed bag. Jay, Terri and I stayed in town while most of the tour group went to Barkerville.
Jay and Terri adjusted her clutch, changed oil in both vehicles, added antifreeze to their radiators (preparing for cold nights to come) and then one of Terri’s hoses sprang a leak, and they had to replace a couple of hoses. All done and they’re ready for tomorrow’s long journey. Here are the few shots we got of the town:

In the meantime, the rest of the group visited Barkerville, an historic town that started as a settlement for fur trappers then boomed when gold was discovered.

The day’s mileage for those who went to Barkerville was probably about 110 miles.
