I’ve been unable to charge my computer for a few days, so I’m going to try to catch up a little bit…

On Monday, May 29, we visited the Cliffs of Moher, which tower hundreds of feet above the crashing waves of the Atlantic.  It was a significant walk up to the Castle and we could hear music as we approached.  We found musicians busking, and both Jay and I had to join in the fun.  Then, a few shots of the cliffs.

Then, on to the medieval town of Ennis, known as the mecca of traditional Irish music.  Before dinner, we explored yet another 12th century abbey.  In addition to a wonderful dinner, we enjoyed traditional Irish music and dance.  The two young harpists were perfoming for the first time, and they did a great job!

Tuesday the 30th, we visited a family run dairy farm, which has been in the family for three generations.

When we arrived in Killarney after lunch, we took a carriage ride through the national park.

Our hotel overlooked the Lakes of Killarney.  I took a few minutes to sight read some traditional Irish music.  Dinner just down the road.

On Wednesday, May 31st, we took a long drive around the Ring of Kerry.

The next post will show you probably the highlight of the entire trip!

  1. You both must be good at your instruments. What great scenery. I really like watching the River dancers. It must have been a great day.
