Maxi the Military Model A is on the move again! Jay left Cambria on September 1st and arrived at Leavenworth, WA, (his initial goal) today – It took a little longer than expected because Maxi blew a head gasket. But she’s feeling much better now.
We’re here in Leavenworth to meet other members of the Model A Touring Club for an 18-day loop from here to Coeur d’Alene ID, Kalispell Mt, Radium Hot Springs British Columbia, Salmon Arm BC, 100 Mile House BC, Quesnel BC, McBride BC, Jasper Alberta, Lake Louise Alberta, Cranbrook BC, Grand Forks BC and back to Leavenworth WA. Whew! A lot of beautiful country to see on this tour!

Here’s a shot from early morning in Seattle. The big blue van at the top of the photos belongs to Tim who will be our trouble trailer driver. At the bottom left is “Radio Flyer” a 1929 tudor which belongs to Terri; the Model A next to her is a Panel Truck owned by George; then there’s Maxi with Jay in the yellow cap adjusting some last little thing.
It’s great to be on the road again with old friends and new friends who will soon join the “old friends” club.
Thank you for taking me on yet another road trip — I needed to get out of the house. Looking forward to photos as you travel along your way. Glad you have the blue van just in case. Wilma Walter
